Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ)
Our program is hosted by Conditioning Leaders, which provides coaching, facilitation, and training to leaders and organizations and has an explicit anti-racist focus, supporting equity, inclusion, and diversity efforts with clients. Program founders, Kate Carpenter Bernier and Madeline McNeely, are active members of Newton Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ), which is organized through volunteers in school chapters that help students and adults learn about power and inequality and how to stand up for racial justice.
Pictured are the amazing teen facilitators from last summer's book group who are both METCO and Newton-residing students.
Another diverse cohort will lead middle schoolers this summer!
